March Goal Number One – Reached

Just a quick update. I logged on this morning to discover ATB has officially dipped below the 100,000 mark on Alexa's ranking system. Or, as I like to put it, The Affiliate Toolbox is now officially in the Internet top 100,000.

Awwww yeah. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

Now I just hope I can keep it there by pumping out more and more good content and finding more bad-ass tools. Hopefully this will help with the other goals as well.

Thanks for reading!

January 2008 Recap

Whew! What a month. It's still not even 10pm here but I felt it was safe to wrap the month up and deliver the new stats. I feel it gives other people hope that this blogging thing really works, but also that the whole helping others thing really works because that's what I'm really trying to do (while getting a few referrals here and there, of course).

With the new layout and a decent amount of new visitors who have become loyal readers, the site has begun to really flourish. Here are this month's stats for the site:

  • Google AdSense - $11.25
  • Aweber Signups - $7.98
  • Amazon Book Commission - $0.66

For a grand total of $19.89! Which, I might add, is $7.37 more than last month. That might not sound like much, but it's a 59% jump from last month's revenue. Not bad at all if you ask me. That's 40% of the hosting bill. 😀

Additionally, we were able to launch the forums test this month and we had a fantastic RSS contest that will end tonight at midnight (more on that later). Our RSS subscriber base jumped up to around 200 as a result and that's not bad at all. Not to mention - we are fast approaching the sub-100k Alexa rank, which is extremely cool all by itself.

So that should about do it. Thanks for supporting the site and I hope you keep coming back for more in February!

Thanks,

Scott

Affiliate Toolbox Has Its Best Day Yet

I won't go nuts over the 215 RSS Subscribers because although it's crazy awesome, I know it fluctuates up and down. But I will say how bad-ass to see ATB growing like it is. It's almost as exciting as top profit days in affiliate marketing -- almost.

Yesterday, we had 281 unique visitors to the site (including Google, Yahoo, MSN bots and myself). If you're curious, you can always check the icon at the bottom of the sidebar for our extremetracking stats (click here for link). For a site that's been up for three months without any kind of crazy promotions, that's not half bad. This is the 70th post, we have over 250 comments and the forum already has 21 active members! It's very encouraging.

This won't be a crazy long post, but I just wanted to thank everyone who keeps coming back and contributing to the comment section of the posts. The more you do so and the more other newbie affiliates read what you have to say, the better this blog works. So keep it up and I'll do my best to keep providing you with daily posts on how to maximize your affiliate marketing profits.

Thanks guys,

Scott

What’s New At The Affiliate Toolbox

Good things are happening lately and that makes it an exciting time to be an affiliate marketer. Aside from all that fluff, however, I have two good bits of news to share.

200 RSS SubscribersFirst off, although I know it waivers to and fro, our reader base has jumped up to 200 within the last month! Wow! I am seriously happy that this blog is helping people to start affiliate marketing and also helping to increase their profits. All I can say is that I hope you keep coming back for more and I hope more people will begin to participate in discussions. Just like back in the day when the teacher would ask us to speak up so everyone could hear our questions, it's good for other people who are too shy to ask when you ask your questions or make your statements.

Speaking of discussion, the second bit of greatness I have to announce is that I've officially started building the Affiliate Toolbox Forums (click here to view). I've created a tab at the top of the blog so that people who are interested in watching it be built and grow will be able to, and also so that the search engines can index that bad boy.

In previous posts, I talked about releasing it some time this year but the coolest thing happened today. I remembered that I still had a vBulletin license from one of my crazy endeavors that I stopped putting effort into, so I stole it from there and slapped it up and I've been sorting through the jungle of options that is the vBulletin Admin panel. I'm really happy it's all working out though. Plus, the license expires in March of this year so we still have time to figure out whether it's a worthy addition to the site. :)

So if you're so-inclined, feel free to sign up on the forum and introduce yourself. Hopefully we can get some experts and newbies together to spark some conversation. If not, oh well. I figured we'd give it a shot and see what the response is like over the next few months.

Currently, I'm trying to make the forum heavily focused on matters close to affiliate marketing. However, if you have any suggestions as to what else you'd like to see in the forum, please let me know.

First $1600.00 Day Screenshot

Azoogle $1600 Day Click on the image to the left to get a close-up of my first $1600 day as an affiliate back at the end of November 2007. Not bad for a day's work and I ended up profiting more than 50% that day. This is an example of what can be done when you start using the tactics discussed in this blog.

I am transparent about most tactics and speak from experience when giving you advice on affiliate marketing. That's why I wanted to show you a screen shot from my stats I had in my documents folder just sitting.

In fact, I challenge you to compete with me and outdo me. If you do surpass me, please let me know!

70 Subscribers and Counting

Affiliate Toolbox Reaches 70 Subscribers

Success! Today, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the FeedBurner chicklet update. We've reached 70 subscribers and that is truly a great feeling.

I'm glad to know that the information I post here is helpful enough to people that they want to come back to find out what else there is to know, because in this business, you have to stay on top of things or you'll get pushed aside quickly.

Incidentally, if you haven't yet, feel free to subscribe to The Affiliate Toolbox by using the box above this post that looks like so-

Subscribe to RSS

You can either subscribe via RSS or you can have post emailed to you free from FeedBurner. Personally, I prefer having posts emailed to me as a daily digest. That way, I don't have to remind myself to check RSS feeds; posts are e-mailed to me when there are updates.

What a way to start the year off! And I'm inspired to just provide more, so stay tuned.
