If the niche gets flooded before those organic ranks kick in, it can amount ot a lot of wasted effort. At the end of the day, I still believe that if our site provides value that the visitors want to see, we will be in the game for the long run. I have started concentrating my efforts to have regular content and interesting stuff instead of over focusing on the PPC, keywords etc.. Now I starting to have conversions purely from the organic search engine results =) I agree with the point that we need to move away from using PPC too much. At the end of the day, I still believe that if our site provides value that the visitors want to see, we will be in the game for the long run.
