New MacBook Pro
Awww yeah. Just got my new MacBook Pro lapintosh
The best part? The battery on this lasts over four hours versus the fifteen minutes on my wife's Dell laptop. Owned.
Here are a couple pics-

Sorry about the mediocre quality. I took the pics with my iPhone and the lens needs cleaning.

Isn't she beautiful?
You know .. technically, this is my first laptop. I bought it so my 47" LCD TV would stop killing my eyes. Yeah, it sounds like it'd be the cat's pajamas .. until you go blind.
Anyway - I've been a PC guy my whole life so I'm still getting used to using a Mac, but so far it's pretty sweet.
Life is good.

I’ve had PC’s and a lot of people say Mac is nicer/better whatever. I can understand since PC’s now goes to the lowest bidder (old gateway and now dell).
PC just seems like you can download anything and everything to it for free.
How does Mac compare? Can I still find all of these cool little software things all over the internet and use it on the Mac? What if I don’t want to spend the money to get the Mac/PC version? Somethings I wish some one would really tell me before I get myself a new Mac

Awesome! I have been on Ubuntu for a couple of months. I really like it. A snazzy laptop with ubuntu on would be real nice.

Scott,
Pretty freakin sweet!
My head is bowed in shame before my old PowerBook G4. After a bit more profit from my PPC campaigns I will own a PowerBook as well this year.
cheers,
Pete

Looking good dude… glad you chose mac
However like that other dude said, I want to have a computer with Ubuntu as well… that’s why i’m probably going to get one of those Eee Pc’s

@browie: You’re right, you can generally download tons of little tools for the PC but I actually did do some analysis before I decided to go with a mac. I basically tracked what I used over a week. Everything I typically use is available in some fashion on a Mac, so I’m not really missing out on anything. Besides, if I need Windows, it comes with Bootcamp so I can just install it on the same laptop. Or, if I want, I can install Parallels and run them at the same time.

@Tom: I’m sure it would be, but as I was saying, you can just partition the drive and install multiple operating systems, now that it’s intel-based.

@will: My Mac is pretty badass, but I do love my PC.
@Pete: I definitely recommend it. It spices things up.
@Nick: Just get the Macbook Pro and partition it out. With 200gb, you can’t really go wrong.

Scott,
In the argument of running windows and mac at the same time, you can do the same with a Hackintosh (PC version) lol

@Steven: True, but it’s just not the same. There’s something to be said about the “feel” of the mac keyboard and the entire laptop itself. In fact, yesterday my wife and I were dropping her parents off at the airport and I saw a guy sitting at the curb on his macbook. Except– when I took a closer look, I realized he had an apple sticker right above the dell emblem on his laptop. Yikes. That’s like taking the mercedes emblem and sticking it on your honda. (I’ve seen this done and it’s not pretty).

Always been a PC guy too, but although I think Macs are better computers now (and look a lot cooler). I just couldn’t imagine switching.

@FreeXbox360: It depends on what you’re using it for. Since I’m a developer and most of what I do involves development, I am in a position to use a Mac with little adjustment. However, someone that manages a windows-server might have a little more difficulty with implementation as well as management.
